The Esquif Heron Canoe is a quiet, stable and highly versatile canoe built for fishing, hunting and all-around lake and river use.

Its wide, balanced hull provides excellent stability for casting, standing and moving around in the boat, while the generous 800 lb carrying capacity leaves plenty of room for fishing gear, decoys, camping equipment or a full load of supplies.

One of the Heron’s biggest advantages is its foam-core T-Formex hull. The foam core helps insulate paddlers from cold water and also creates a quieter ride, making the canoe especially well suited to anglers and hunters who want to approach secluded water or wildlife with less noise.

The square-stern design gives you the option of paddling traditionally or adding a small outboard motor up to 3 HP for faster travel. A central yoke seat makes carrying and handling easier, while webbed seats and vinyl gunwales provide a durable, practical setup for repeated use.

At 14 ft 6 in and approximately 69 lb, the Esquif Heron offers a strong balance of stability, capacity and manageable weight for paddlers who want one canoe that can handle fishing, hunting, camping and everyday outdoor use.

Pricing & Pickup

At Wilderness Supply, we work hard to keep canoe pricing fair and predictable. Canoe prices are either listed at the manufacturer’s MSRP or include a small portion of the freight cost to one of our retail locations, with the rest covered by us. That means in-stock canoes and boats pre-ordered on our regular bulk shipments don’t incur surprise shipping fees.

Canoes ordered outside our bulk shipment windows may incur additional freight charges to our retail store locations. We will always discuss and confirm that with you in advance.

Our goal is simple: make it easy to get the right boat, at a fair price, with no guesswork and no last-minute surprises.
